first_imgAir Arabia is continuing to expand consistently and now has almost 14 aircraft flying on 40 routes.The Sharjah-based carrier was launched in 2003, according to a report in Anna Aero, using a cheap flights business model.Over its first four years in operation, it has grown to carry 2.7 million passengers 2007 and now accounts for 60 per cent of Sharjah airport’s traffic.Much of this expansion has been centred on India and other Asian countries.
