Hopes raised over Sachin Tendulkar’s Indian Super League Kochi innings

Kerala Football Association has welcomed the move and said that Sachin’s entry will lift the spirits of players as well as football fans in the state leading to the revival of the game itself. Sachin is the co-owner of the Kochi ISL franchise along with Hydrabad-based PVP ventures.”The decision of Sachin Tendulkar to choose Kochi will definitely help for the development of football in the state. It will offer new opportunities for aspiring players of the state,” said KMI Mather, president of the Kerala Football Association and vice-president of All India Football Federation (AIFF).Kerala football had lost its glamour and sheen because of the scarcity of funds and football fans in Kerala hope that Sachin’s foray will bring funds to improve the current state of the game in Kerala.”People were not ready to invest in football till now.
